Thea International cOntest of clinical cases in PatHologies of the eYe
The topic for this second edition of
the contest will be
glaucoma and ocular surface.
A chance for the three winners of the contest to present their work during Théa symposium
organised at annual ARVO meeting (May 4 to May 8, 2014) with registration fees,
round-trip tickets and accommodation costs covered by Laboratoires Théa.
*Subject to acceptance by regulatory authorities in the winners' country of residence.
The best clinical case from each participating country will be posted on WWW.THEA-TROPHY.COM and a dedicated brochure edited by Laboratoires Théa will also be published.

national selection
A national jury of experts in ophthalmology will select the best clinical case among those submitted by contestants of their country.
The jury will grade the clinical cases according to the following criteria:
• clarity,
• originality,
• quality of illustrations,
• contribution to ophthalmological knowledge.

Early December the best case from each country will be submitted to a International jury of experts who will select the three best clinical cases of the contest.

who can participate?
The contest is open to all residents or fellows in ophthalmology from the following countries:
Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK, Ireland, Luxemburg and Turkey.
confidentiality
To ensure an independent and fair vote, contestants will remain anonymous until the end of the contest. A contestant number will be given upon submission of the case. This number will be used through the entire process.
Laboratoires Théa commit themselves not to release any information that might help identify the contestants. The name of the members of the juries will also be kept confidential to the contestants.
how to participate?
Submit your clinical case before October 15th, 2013.
All submitted clinical cases must be in line with the topic of the contest: Glaucoma and ocular surface which includes ocular surface impairment or specificities in patient diagnosed as having glaucoma or OHT. One clinical case or series of patients will be accepted (except if included in a pharmaceutical industry sponsored trial).
It must be written in English and follow the structured format below:
- Title / Case presentation with illustrations and figures / Discussion / Conclusion
To highlight the interest of your case, you will also be invited to provide a short cover letter.
